GIA Building Visit; Alexander "Greek" Thomson's United Presbyterian Church
Join the GIA Conservation Committee on a rare opportunity to visit the last surviving intact church designed by Alexander “Greek” Thomson, built for the United Presbyterian Church in 1859 and last used as a place of worship in 2021.
With the church effectively mothballed and its future uncertain, this Category ‘A’ listed masterpiece needs a new use that celebrates its architectural glory while protecting its unique beauty.
Due to the nature of the building we have to limit numbers to 20 and will require you to bring your own PPE.
Meet up at the rear entrance on St Vincent Lane.
