About this Event

Currently supported by Zero Waste Scotland, RE-CASK is Glasgow Wood Recycling’s latest project investigating the potential of end-of-life oak whisky casks. Our task has been to develop innovative ways of giving life to this material to save it being used as biomass or sent to landfill. Over the last 6 months we’ve worked our way through 80 casks, exploring everything from new ways of dismantling the casks, processing and working with the individual staves, to experimenting with a variety of finishes.
