NMIS is an industry-led international centre of manufacturing expertise located at the heart of the new Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS) where industry, academia and public-sector support bodies work together to transform skills, productivity, and innovation. The new energy carbon neutral in operation facility is about creating a high-quality, open and collaborative environment that supports healthy working, fosters collaboration and promotes sustainability.

Civic House
Refurbishment of Civic House using an EnerPHit fabric-first approach, achieving energy efficiency and reduced carbon emissions. The project involved installation of external wall insulation, high-performance doors and windows, a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system (MVHR), an air source heat pump, a composite insulated roof panel system, and a 50kWp roof array of photovoltaic panels. The completed project aims to promote sustainability, inclusive city development, and community-driven impact through a public learning program and community-based workspace.
