Dun Guiadhre, Mull
Dun Guaidhre is a former black house situated on the Isle of Mull, on a rocky North facing promontory, overlooking the sea towards Coll and the South Minches. The cottage, sits on a grassy platform with its North East side backing on to a steep embankment, part of an Iron Age fort. The cottage has been substantially renovated by H-C architects to provide simple yet comfortable accommodation for two people.

House in Pollokshields
This modestly-scaled rear extension to a Victorian villa in South Glasgow transforms a disguarded rear terrace area to create a place of informal retreat and socialising for a growing family which spanned three generations. The physical constraints imposed by the existing (and recently refurbished) rear extension were the starting point in generating a convincing external form and internal spatial sequence. The completed space forms the spatial climax of the journey from main entrance, through hall, under main stair landing, to arrive unexpectedly to a new family centre of gravity in the house.
