University of Edinburgh, King's Buildings Nucleus

Designed to be the new heart of the campus, King’s Buildings Nucleus expands undergraduate teaching facilities for the university.

The building creates an attractive place of study and learning, enhancing the student experience and providing facilities for students to spend more time on campus. Phase 1A creates a harmonious building that complements the surrounding architecture, while safeguarding, preserving, and enhancing the centre of the campus. It sets the framework for a major north-south route through the campus, aligned with the university’s masterplan vision for vibrant public realm, reanimating the centre of the campus while fostering dynamic links between faculties.

Holy Family RC Primary School

The new build Holy Family Primary school forms part of the wider Winchburgh schools’ development. The school has been designed to be built in two phases, the first phase will provide a single stream primary, accommodating 231 pupils with an early years facility accommodating 64 children. We worked closely with West Lothian Council to develop key drivers and aspirations for the project resulting in a design that offers a series of flexible spaces arranged around two core central spaces to provide the opportunity for pupils of all ages to interact and learn from each other.

Newmains & St Brigid's Community Hub

Newmains & St Brigid’s Community Hub is the first project to be delivered in the North Lanarkshire Council Town and Community Hub programme. The programme seeks to place new community facilities at the heart of every community in North Lanarkshire that requires new school provision.
The project accommodates Newmains Primary School, St Brigid’s Primary School and the Newmains Family Learning Centre. It includes an all-weather, 11 a-side pitch and community use of all indoor facilities, currently available outside of school hours.
The building is arranged around a shared central atrium which offers highly flexible space for education and community.
