GIA’s Countdown to COP26 Event 04 [ an online event via Zoom ]
Glasgow will host the COP26 climate change summit in 2021, becoming the global focus of climate change action. The GIA is doing a 'Countdown to COP' bringing the performance of Glasgow and Scotland into focus and gives us a chance to showcase the good work you have been doing and will be doing in the future.
With the City Council having already pledged the city will be "net zero" by 2030, will Glasgow beat Edinburgh to hit this target? What can we as architects and designers do to help?
Come together for our fourth event in the series 'Countdown to COP26' where the focus will be on lobbying & political engagement for a sustainable built environment. So much of what we do is governed by legislation that has not historically kept up to date with the speed of the climate crisis. Join us to hear some positive examples from those engaged in this area; what is going on to change this state of affairs? Sign up to hear quick lessons from practitioners which you can apply to your ongoing projects.
