PRACTICE
The GIA Practice Committee provides educational events to help fulfil the RIAS mandatory CPD requirements, a forum for small practitioners and networking events with other construction professionals. The committee is responsible for:
GIA CPD SERIES
Presentations that cover a range of current interesting, relevant topics, including the RIBA CPD Core Curriculum, all presented by competent experienced speakers.
Guided tours
Guided tours of completed buildings and construction sites of particular interest.
Physical tours will be picked up as soon as Covid-19 related restrictions have been lifted.
We are currently looking into organising virtual tours.
Networking events
Networking events, shared with other disciplines.
SMALL PRACTICE GROUP
The Small Practice Group has a dedicated forum on the GIA basecamp. This provides an opportunity for architects working alone or in small teams to share knowledge, network with like-minded colleagues and discuss topics relevant to smaller practices.
