Please pick up your models from McLellan Galleries by 5pm on 12th December 2013. Contact email@example.com with any queries.
The Glasgow Institute of Architects (GIA) in association with the Royal Glasgow Institute (RGI) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a new exhibition in Glasgow’s Mclellan Galleries from November 10th to December 8th 2013.
The exhibition is to house an architectural display that will focus on the ‘physical model’.
We are inviting all our members to submit up to three projects that have concentrated on the use of a physical model. A model, representative of a project and demonstrating qualities that you feel hold particular merit within your design practice.
We are excited at the prospect of showcasing the breadth of architectural expression and design development through the use of models. Therefore, models can be of any size and can range from those produced in concept design to those for final exhibition use and do not have to be the product of a built project.
There is a limit as to how much we can exhibit and therefore a select number of exhibiting models will be chosen from those submitted.
We would advise against submitting models that would require the use of power for such things as feature lighting as we will not have the facility to implement this.
This is an excellent opportunity for Architects in the Glasgow chapter to exhibit their work.
Every year the RGI hold this prestigious exhibition, so please, take this opportunity to show off your work alongside some wonderful pieces of art. We are certain there are some beautiful models out there, on a shelf, or on top of a book case, just waiting to be seen!
