Short presentations from Architectural Practices on their 2016 GIA Award winning projects from the Residential and Small works Categories. | Ann Nisbet Studio will be presenting the Supreme Award winning Newhouse of Auchengee, a contemporary farm house rooted in its context. The architects have skilfully created a building which harmonious sits in the landscape; creating a unique sense of place. | Lineararchitecture will be presenting their Small Work award winning MhorMicro project; a series of micro scale buildings celebrating young design talent. | HLM Architects will be presenting Tigh na Croit a fully certified Passivhaus in the Highlands and winner of the Sustainability Award.

In this session, Simon, Head of Professional Standards at the Architects Registration Board, will explain the relevance of the Architects Code of Conduct, discuss the common disputes architects become embroiled in, and suggest some simple steps as to how they can be avoided.
GIA CPD EVENT 4 – The liquorice all-sorts of the life of an architect – personal reflections and case studies – 15th November 2017
In this session, Rob Campbell, a Technical Director with HKA and a chartered Architect specialising in dispute resolution and expert witness work will discuss his experiences in practice both in architecture and expert witness work.
