FBN are delighted to announce the completion of our scheme for Loretto Housing Association. This new sustainable low carbon housing development comprising of 53 dwellings, has been developed on a brownfield site in Paisley. The design includes 37 socially rented houses set around a landscaped central square and shared surface, 6 townhouses that line Neilston Road and a courtyard building, accommodating 10 supported flats for young adults as well as a staff base. FBN Architects collaborated with Ian White Associates on the Landscape Design.
Our proposals were driven by the desire to create a sustainable residential community of distinct character and lasting quality. Our aim here was to provide efficient, contemporary housing by following our simple manifesto for affordable sustainable housing. Indeed, overall the scheme should achieve up to a 47% reduction in CO2 emissions via the provision of highly insulated, air tight homes working together with heat recovery ventilation and roof
